My unexpected catalyst of growth

Team: Two or more people working together to achieve a common goal.
Team: Strength founded in unity, dependence, and trust.
Team: A process of give and take.

Being a team player is something that you begin learning about when you a very little, but it is something that you never stop learning about.  The reason, I think, is because there is an incredible value in the idea of 'team'.  In the last month, I have learned a lot about this.  Some of the learning has been painful, but all has definitely been worthwhile.
  • Working in teams in much faster than working alone because there are more hands to complete the project.
  • Multiple people mean multiple ways of viewing a situation and multiple solutions to a problem.
  • Teams provide an opportunity for individual insufficiencies to be filled by others.
  • Within a team, areas of conflict can become sources of growth.
  • Working in a team yields countless opportunities to serve.
  • The most accomplished teams are ones that have learned to love selflessly.
  • Teams require trust.
  • Teams create common experiences.
  • Teams provide companionship.
So now for my team.

Here is 5/6 of us.  Clare, the missing member, was taking the picture.

Sam Geleyn- is our Gap Director.  He is also the founder and director of Pharos, the Christian student group that we serve with.

Clare Darnell- is the assistant Gap director and my women's household leader.  She was also a Gapper here last year.

Kate Stevenson- Michigander, fellow Gapper and housemate, incredible musician, and aspiring adventure companion :)
Daniel Kallassi- Lebanese Gapper number two.  If you asked him what he loves most, he would tell you 'meeting new people, hunting, and soup'.

Javier Sastre- is the third Gapper from Michigan.  He is the Ping-Pong Prayer inventor, an long board enthusiast, and enjoys graffiti art.
