I have always had a travel bug. And, as any Travel Guru knows, Dublin, Ireland, is one of the places that must be seen. This weekend that dream became a reality. Along with 13 others from Pharos, I traveled there for the annual Kairos Weekend- a huge regional conference where all of the young adults from Kairos Europe and the Middle East come together to learn about discipleship and leadership and to pray together. Honestly, it was incredible. I was the photographer for the weekend, so I had the privilege to take a step back and wonder at the uniqueness of this experience.
There were around 135 16 to 25-year-old young adults, representing over 10 nations, gathered together as Christians- listening, learning, worshiping God, praying, talking, swapping stories, laughing, and building strong relationships.
Above all, it was encouraging and inspiring for me to realize that even at times when I feel completely alone in my faith, there will be at least 135 others around the world also fighting to live out their faith.

Not only did the Lord work in me during this weekend, but on top of this, He gave me an incredible opportunity to attempt Irish dancing in the streets of Dublin, see Trinity College, realize the ridiculousness of Gaelic spelling, buy a shake in ‘the shake shop’, get hopelessly lost in Dublin, and laugh until I was bent over crying. Truly, He cares so much for us- and knows us well enough to help satiate our wanderlust :)
